# ECOBESTA®-Lite for Air Brake Tubing

Air brake tubing requires a balance of mechanical performance, durability and cost efficiency. ECOBESTA®-Lite combines PA12 and PA6 in a three-layer tube system designed for demanding air brake applications.

Direct adhesion between PA12 and PA6 eliminates the need for a tie layer. Its multilayer concept allows different PA6 core materials to be used to tailor burst pressure and tube stiffness according to application requirements.

The solution offers excellent low-temperature impact resistance, chemical resistance and processability. ECOBESTA®-Lite also provides a cost-effective alternative to high-pressure monolayer PA12 and market multilayer solutions, with a 20% cost reduction indicated in UBE’s comparison.

Natural PA12 is also available for customised colours, while recycled PA6 can be incorporated while maintaining interlayer adhesion.
